This is the exact shop I used to work in when I was 18. Quite weird being back. I haven't been in here for a long time.
True story — when I worked here, I asked if I could take holiday to go to Ibiza for three or four days. My first time in Ibiza. I asked the boss if I could get the holiday off. The boss said no.
And I was like, fuck it. I really want to go to Ibiza anyway. So I just went and called in sick from Ibiza. As soon as I got back, I got fired.
But it coincided with the same time I was starting to do DJ work. And people actually paid me to DJ. So fuck you, Eminence Outlet. I don't miss it in here.
Message to anyone who's working in a job like this. If you don't enjoy what you're doing, just get through it and stay focused on the stuff you do enjoy. It's only going to make you go harder. Chase the dream and get where you want to go. Everyone's done it.
