It's not a question of what if you do one more. It's a question of what happens if you don't.
What would happen if you did one more practice? One more song idea? If you stayed for one more hour in the studio?
When I made Ferrari — the record that changed my life — I made it at 4 in the morning. I was literally about to go home. So what would have happened if I didn't do one more? I probably wouldn't be here talking to you right now.
And even then, the version of Ferrari you know was the 50th version of the record I'd made. 50 versions. People think hits just happen. They don't. A hit is just what happens after the process of refusing to quit.
Maybe you've got a Ferrari right now and you're on version 12. So why don't you just keep going? Maybe you'll get to version 50, where everyone thinks it's amazing.
It's not a question of what if you do one more. It's a question of what happens if you don't.
