If you've got to study for years to be a doctor, how hard do you think you've got to work to get this job?
Remember when you were in school and they told you if you want a good job you have to work really hard? I hated school, but they were actually right about that.
The only thing is, the jobs they were talking about were doctor, lawyer, accountant. Great jobs for some people, but they didn't make me want to work hard. They probably didn't make you want to work hard either.
But this job — being a DJ, being a producer, getting to travel the world and make people feel something with your music — this is literally the dream job. The job everyone wants.
So think about it. If you've got to study for years to be a doctor, if you've got to grind every day to be a lawyer, how hard do you think you've got to work to get this job?
If you want to make it, you can't treat it like a hobby. You have to have a schedule. How many hours are you putting in in the studio? When are you going to learn? When are you going to practise and improve? You don't get weekends off. You don't finish at 5pm. The music won't wait. The world won't wait.
This is the dream job. The best one in the world. So work like you have the best job in the world.
