A track is like a sculpture. You chip away and it reveals itself eventually.
Everyone overthinks from time to time.
One of the things I find most useful when I'm making music is just to keep moving. If you get stuck on a sound, leave it. Just leave that sound how it is. Even if it's not great, keep moving past it.
A track for me is like a sculpture. You chip away and it reveals itself eventually. But as soon as you stop, you can't see it yet — because you haven't chipped away at that bit of the sculpture.
If you sit there trying to figure out one piece, you're just going to waste your time. The faster you can keep moving towards the end of the project, the faster you'll get there.
